For the first time HEGGEMANN participates as an exhibitor at crash.tech, a technical congress organized by TÜV SÜD every two years on the subject of "Passive safety and occupant protection in cars".
The focus of this year's event, which will take place in Munich on April 8 and 9, 2014, is on the safety assessment of new energy-efficient vehicle concepts, for which HEGGEMANN already manufactures crash-impacted structural components as prototypes as well as in small batches.
Against the background of the influence of alternative drive concepts with electric motors, batteries and hybrid systems on vehicle architecture, completely new questions arise with regard to the traffic safety of such vehicles. Already foreseeable changes in the accident make it necessary to re-examine passive safety. Here, the crash behavior of the new vehicle concepts through the use of lightweight materials plays a key role.
The crash.tech 2014 is the ideal environment for HEGGEMANN to present its expertise in the development and manufacture of metallic lightweight structures.
