Once again this year, HEGGEMANN AG participated in the ILA (International Aviation Exhibition) in Berlin and presented its business segment Aerospace to the professional audience.

Also this year, HEGGEMANN AG held three trade visitor days at the ILAn from 20th to 22nd May. The services and products of HEGGEMANN Aerospace were presented very successfully at the International Suppliers Center, a central marketing platform within the ILA. The International Suppliers Center was specially established and extensively used as a meeting point between the highly specialized supplier industry and the global aircraft manufacturers. The Berne-based company HEGGEMANN AG maintained and expanded its international contacts and supplier relationships.

Robert Heggemann, Chief Executive Officer, said very positively: "The participation in the fair was a complete success and we are very confident that the follow-up business in the growth sector of civil aviation will lead to new long-term business relationships. Currently, the market is experiencing a surge in demand from the supply industry as a result of the huge increase in aircraft orders worldwide. At the trade fair it was confirmed that HEGGEMANN is right on trend here and will continue to generate growth. Last but not least, the company achieved an increase in the number of employees by around 30 percent in the past year. The focus of HEGGEMANN AG's business activities in the aerospace sector is the development and production of chassis, metallic structures and engine components.

Furthermore, HEGGEMANN AG is a specialist in structural components for weight-reduced passenger seats. Michael Zimmermann, Manager of the HEGGEMANN Aerospace division, comments on the individuality: "The components can be made according to the customer's requirements for detailed customer drawings. However, HEGGEMANN's own design and production engineering plays a much more demanding role. Here, the products are completely designed, developed and manufactured in-house. On the basis of the high level of competence in this area, HEGGEMANN develops tailor-made lightweight construction solutions for the mobility of the future.

The company recognized early on that innovative lightweight construction concepts will prevail in all areas of mobility and has been concentrating since the beginning of the 90s on the development and production of metallic lightweight structures in the aviation, aerospace and automotive sectors. A high level of vertical integration and the expertise in material-specific joining processes (advanced material design) combined with the latest production technologies and perfect craftsmanship make it possible to realize complex projects and components within a very short time. "This range of knowledge generation - from the idea to the product - is also a very interesting aspect for our apprentices," reports Training Manager Daniel Bruß, adding: "The growing interest of young women in the engineering disciplines was very pleasing and the complete solutions of HEGGEMANN AG in the aerospace industry.
